24 Years and Counting

The Black Alumni Society, 成人直播's first affinity group, was chartered in 2000. The group aims to inform, involve and serve alumni as it promotes Kennesaw State University. With events throughout the year in addition to their annual anniversary celebration, there are a variety of opportunities to get and stay connected with other members of the Black Alumni Society.

Our Purpose

  • Promote the cause of higher education for students at 成人直播;
  • Provide a forum for information exchange and networking among 成人直播 alumni, current students, faculty and staff, and friends of 成人直播;
  • Assist in recognizing the achievements of new graduates, alumni, current students, faculty, and staff at annual celebratory events;
  • Foster the development and maintenance of scholarships and other means of assisting students in their pursuit of education at 成人直播;
  • Encourage Black alumni to serve as mentors for 成人直播 students and in the community at large;
  • Increase membership and participation of Black alumni within the BAS and at all levels of leadership within the Alumni Association.

The Black Alumni Society recently celebrated 25 years of fostering connections. To honor this milestone and the visionary leadership of its founder, Dr. Shelby R. Wilkes MBA 鈥�98, the society has partnered with the 成人直播 Alumni Association to establish a new scholarship in Dr. Wilkes' memory. This lasting tribute will ensure that his legacy of empowerment and excellence will continue to support future generations of Owls for years to come.
