Notice of the Filing of an Application for Permanent Employment Certification

The following notices are posted as a result of the filing of an application for permanent alien labor certification for these job opportunities. These postings will remain in public view for a period of at least 10 consecutive business days and must be made no more than 180 and no less than 30 days prior to filing the permanent labor certification application.

 

Assistant Professor of Data Science and Analytics

Responsibilities: Teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in applied statistics, analytics, and data science; Active scholarship activities consistent with an R2 institution (such as, but not limited to, publications in journals, patents, successful external grant funding, etc.); Mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students in research; Service to the School, College, and University as needed; Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines. Required Qualifications:  A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline, is required. Proficient in at least one analytical programming language (e.g., R, Python, SAS); Evidence of and/or potential for scholarship and/or creative activities.
