Whether you are a veteran transitioning to civilian life, an active-duty service member pursuing higher education, or family of a military service member, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Recognized as a  School dedicated to serving our nation's veterans, we are proud of the extensive on-campus support of our committed Military and Veteran Services team, which serves as a one-stop-shop devoted solely to the development of veterans and military-connected students, the first of its kind in the state of Georgia.

Undergraduate Admissions Information

Virtual Information Sessions

To assist veteran and military-connected students with their undergraduate admissions process, we offer virtual information sessions and one-on-one admission counselor appointments.  

Virtual Information Sessions take place monthly via Zoom, providing you the opportunity to speak with members of our veteran support network and admissions professionals.  

Upcoming sessions will be held on Wednesday, April 9 and May 14 from noon to 1 p.m.

 

Schedule a One-on-One Appointment

Schedule a one-on-one admissions counseling appointment with Richard Sisk, assistant director of undergraduate recruitment. Having served as Infantryman in the US Army, Sisk earned his undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State after his military career, utilizing the post 9/11 GI Bill. He previously served in the University’s Military and Veteran Services Department and enjoys helping veterans and military-connected students achieve their educational goals at ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥.

Current service members, please speak with your Educational Services Officer (ESO) or counselor within your military service before enrolling at ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥.

If you graduated high school within the last 5 years and have not earned 30 or more semester hours or 50 quarter hours of transferable college credit, you will apply via CommonApp as a freshman student.

  1. Submit your application and $40 application fee* by the appropriate posted deadline for your desired semester of entry. 
  2. Submit all required documents depending on your admission classification (Freshmen, Transfer Freshmen, Transfer, Adult Learner). 
  3. if requesting to receive financial aid other than VA Educational Benefits. 
  4. Check your application status

*Active service members and veterans qualify for application fee waivers. If applying through GAfutures, your application fee will be waived once you indicate your military status in the application. If applying via CommonApp, please reach out to ksuadmit@kennesaw.edu to request your application waiver.

Military Transfer Credit

Once accepted to ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥, you can request your military training and experience be considered for transfer credit by submitting an AARTS or SMART transcript to the Office of the Registrar
