Dual Enrollment FAQs

  • A: There are many different reasons why students choose dual enrollment. DEP is a great option for: 
    • Accelerated learning and academic challenge 
    • Cost savings 
    • Smoother transition to from high school to college 
  • A: No. A new admissions application does not need to be submitted; however, students must meet with their dual enrollment advisor prior to registering for each semester. 
  • A: Yes. Dual enrollment students are responsible for parking, lab fees, self-pay courses, proctored exams, meal plans (optional), and non-required course materials.
  • A: Yes. You are allotted 15 funded credit hours per semester. Any additional courses you would like to add to your dual enrollment schedule must be approved by your high school counselor first.

  • A: Every school district sets its own policy for awarding extra quality points for dual enrollment courses on the high school transcript. Some school districts allow for extra quality points. Check with your high school counselor to see criteria for your school district.
  • A: 成人直播 reports only letter grades. Each school district has its own conversion policy for converting these letter grades to numeric grades for the high school transcript. If you have questions, you will need to speak with your high school counselor for more specific information.
  • A: You will need to contact 成人直播's Student Disability Services at (470) 578-2666 or sds@kennesaw.edu.

  • A: No. 成人直播's DEP office will do this automatically for every DEP student.
  • A: Yes; dual enrollment students can take online courses at Kennesaw State.
  • A: No. Dual enrollment funding will not affect your HOPE or Zell Miller funding hours. 
  • A: You will need to complete the dual enrollment to degree seeking admission application.
